Sound Journals is an ongoing program exploring the powerful connections between environmental recording and personal journaling – thereby uncovering hidden stories of fringe communities.

Following a pilot workshop in April 2025, the project introduces sustained artistic mentorship and radio documentary production – in close collaboration  with social outreach initiatives.

Workshops exploring urban soundscapes in collaboration with grassroots organizations at planetariums in Bogotá and Medellín in April 2024.

Partnering with Exploratorio and Idartes, local participants engaged with local sonic environments – thereby using acoustic awareness as a tool for self-discovery and to foster deeper connections to their urban surroundings.

Sound production and radio workshops at Rewire Festival (The Hague) and Refuge Worldwide (Berlin) from April to June 2024.

With the aim of empowering diverse voices, participants explored environmental recording, creative editing and communal listening – thereby crafting personal and collective stories within the framework of sonic urbanism.

Pilot workshops directed to the practice of field recording, hosted together with grassroots organisations across Asia in May and June 2023.

Through hands-on expeditions, local participants gained essential skills in sonic documentation while discovering new creative possibilities at the intersection of natural soundscapes and musical expression.
